Q. Why is so much advertizing money calling our attention to the brain?
A.

"Talk to the Brain"™

“Neural-Afferent-Threshold-Ology”™

“Tailored-Individualized- Input” ™

"Success Follows the MechanoReceptor
Barrage That Targets The Brain" ™

One adjustment can be a band-aid, another adjustment has the potential to be life changing. Take, for example, the graph below. This graph displays the brainwave activity of a subject who was adjusted several times over a 25 minute time period.  More specifically, the graph displays the percentage of alpha (A), beta (B) and theta (T) brain wave activity produced by the subject’s right (R) and left (L) hemispheres.

-  ‘a-b’  = the subject rested.

- At ‘b’, the subject was adjusted by a practitioner using an ArthroStim® adjusting instrument. The subject was adjusted a 2nd time near the end of the ‘b-c’ time period. Both adjustments produced transitory changes in brainwave activity. (Note: transitory brainwave responses to the 2nd adjustment continued into the ‘c-d’ time period.)

-  ‘c - d’  = the subject rested.

-  At ‘d’, the patient was adjusted a 3rd time by a different practitioner (with a different assessment approach)  using the ArthroStim® instrument.  This adjustment produced substantial, sustained changes in brainwave activity, ie, a reduction in beta activity and a rise in alpha and theta activity.

The graph demonstrates that the adjusting instrument elicited brainwave responses.

The graph also illustrates that different methods of application, i.e., variable forms of afferent input, can play a significant role in the outcomes. Different technique approaches apply different qualities of mechanoreceptor input, which in turn, elicit different brain wave responses.

One of the most fruitful questions a doctor can ask themselves is “Can I individualize the adjustment so each patient gets even better results?”

All manual and instrument-assisted adjustments ‘talk’ to the brain. Instrument adjusting enables a practitioner to produce various types of mechanoreceptor input that can be difficult, or impossible, to produce by hands only.

Different patients require different amounts of input (e.g., time and force combinations) in order to produce effective, long-lasting changes. One of the most important skills a practitioner can develop is the ability to tailor the intensity of applied forces to meet the needs of individual patients, i.e., “Neural-Afferent-Threshold-Ology™/ Tailored-Individualized-Input™.

The Pro- ArthroStim® adjusting instrument offers unsurpassed ease and flexibility in tailoring individualized input.

The Pro-ArthroStim instrument produces a wide range of thrusting forces and it is designed to immediately respond to the doctor’s set-up pressure. In effect, the ArthroStim acts like an extension of a practitioner’s hand.  This enables a practitioner to instantly increase or decrease the thrusting force to match specific needs of individual patients.* It also allows a practitioner to continue to convey subtle nuances their experience-based wisdom deems necessary.

Additionally, the Pro-ArthroStim produces 12 -14 thrust per second**. This rapid thrusting rate enables a practitioner to create a significant amount of mechanoreceptor input – even when using small amounts of force. You can effortlessly communicate the Art of Chiropractic with an ArthroStim because control of the optimum afferent variability is in your hand.

* Some multi-thrusting instruments are limited to just 2 or 3 fixed force settings, which compromises a practitioner’s ability to customize thrusting forces.  The practitioner is constrained to the restrictions of the instrument.
** The Pro-ArthroStim can also optionally thrust at: 6 times per second and 3 times per second.

Q. The ArthroStim has multi-frequency selector, why is the default setting of 12 thrusts per second?
A.

This frequency, often referred to as the low beta somatomotor rhythm is the ideal frequency. Continually compared its clinical performance is preferred over 20 years by the Doctors.

Q. Dear Sirs,
I just finished the NMT training and wish to get an ArthroStim. Do you have any used models?
A.

Used instruments are really hard to come by, they last 20 years and have service yet available, so doctors don't part with them.

Q. What adaptors are standard or most commonly used?
A.

The most commonly used set of adaptors includes: the flat single tip, and round ball single tip adaptors, the narrow taper tip fork adaptor and the wide taper tip fork adaptor.

Different techniques may recommend different adaptors so it is best to inquire if you have a specific technique in mind.
